Early Life
As young as age six, Adam Ondra has already begun mastering the techniques and disciplines involved in rock climbing. It was no surprise that Adam Ondra braced climbing at such a tender age, as his parents were climbers.
But unlike his parents, Ondra’s interest in rock climbing was far from recreational. Ondra wasn’t just interested in climbing; he was talented. As young as age six, he had ascended a 6a (5.10a) route in Rovinj, Croatia, with bolts’ aid.
As he grew, Ondra continued to climb routes that soon caught the climbing magazines’ attention, astounded at young Ondra’s climbing wits. As he advanced in age, so did the difficulty in routes he climbed advanced.
